Meal Planning While Camping in The Great Outdoors!

Going on a weekend get away? Congratulations! There is nothing like finally getting to tune out and and have some fun. 

 

Studies show that time spent relaxing is a important part your health. Some of the scientifically proven benefits include increased immunity, emotional balance, and lower blood pressure. 

 

One way to truly get that level of relaxation you are looking for on your next get away is; to take away the stress of meal planning. Does being away from your kitchen need to mean burnt hot dogs, hamburgers and ham sandwiches?

No.

 

Thankfully with a little at home preparation you can be ready to hit the beach, go camping, or strike out for that destination in no time flat. Here is a list of recipes that will have you relaxing and eating where you are instead of slaving over the campfire or searching for the nearest restaurant.

 


 

Looking for something you can pre-make and eat raw? Sometimes slipping out a cutting board and knives just is not possible when you are far from home. Here are 5 recipes you can make at home then toss in the cooler or fridge for later.

 

1.) Salad in a Jar

3.) Roast beef and Cheddar Roll ups

4.) Barbecue Chicken Sandwhiches

Another simple fix is shredding a rotisserie chicken and folding it in with your favorite Barbecue sauce. Simply cool and serve when ready.

 

5.) Pimento Olive Cheese Log

Foil wrapped dinners can also be a breeze. You make ahead, then toss on the campfire or grill when ready.
