Florida House Speaker Daniel Perez called this the "largest tax cut in state history" and said it would save Floridians $5 billion yearly.
Speaker Perez said that if the proposal is successful, it will make Florida the only state in the country's history to permanently reduce its sales tax.
The Florida House of Representatives passed HB 6017, a bill to repeal Florida's "Free Kill" law on March 26.
